Sonic Drive-In General Manager
SONIC Drive-In General ManagerAs a SONIC Drive-In General Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Drive-In to provide quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner so that guests will have an enjoyable experience at the Sonic Drive-In. As the highest management position within the Drive-In, you are accountable for the Drive-In and its operations. Responsibilities include managing, training, monitoring, and coaching crew/team members, carhops, and skating carhops; directing and assigning drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards; adhering to and monitoring employee compliance of the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices; performing restaurant opening and/or closing duties; preparing employee work schedules; monitoring and maintaining restaurant inventory levels; completing and maintaining all drive-in restaurant employment related records and payroll records; reinforcing a customer service mentality and ensuring all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times; immediately and respectfully resolving guest requests; reporting guest complaints to immediate supervisor and assisting in resolving such complaints; interviewing and hiring restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels; preparing all necessary operational reports; developing appropriate action plans to resolve unfavorable financial and/or sales trends; and developing and implementing a marketing plan.
Additional General Manager Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervision, required to work a minimum 5 day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4 day workweek guaranteed) including irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices, knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations, leadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills, basic accounting and computer skills, ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions, ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems, problem solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, and willingness to abide by the appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards at SONIC.
Salary: $38,000.00 to $55,000.00/year
