Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position Located in Dane County We are working a newly created Senior Accountant position for a growing, national manufacturing company located just north of Madison. This position will have a direct line to the CFO and really get to make the position their own. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly account reconciliations, prepare financial reports, and report out on findings. Assist with the financial close process, which includes account analysis, preparing journal entries, updating various files and related financial reporting. Be involved with the year-end financial audit to prepare information and work with the auditors. Analyze departmental cost calculations and methods and provide recommendations to improve. Analyze department and part-level costing for significant or unusual areas and work with appropriate areas to correct / improve. Establish various costing rates based on actual costs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of manufacturing accounting experience REQUIRED Problem-solving/process improvement mindset Excellent written and verbal communication Attention to detail and organization skills If this particular role is not of interest, our team is engaged in over 30 separate searches in the area.
