PRN Pharmacist (potential for future PIC)

Role Description This is an on-site role for a PRN Pharmacist, with the potential to assume a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position in the future. The role is located in the Greater Kalamazoo Area. The PRN Pharmacist will oversee the accurate preparation and dispensing of prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication usage, managing inventory, supervising pharmacy staff, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves collaborating with healthcare providers to support patient care needs. Qualifications Thorough knowledge of pharmacy practices, including prescription preparation, dispensing, and patient counselingProficiency in ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulationsStrong organizational and inventory management skills to manage stock effectivelyExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills to foster positive patient relationshipsAbility to supervise and manage pharmacy staff effectively and professionallyDoctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited academic institution and a valid pharmacist license in MichiganExperience in a grocery-store or community pharmacy setting is a plus
