Construction Estimator

Accent Landscape Contractors is seeking a Construction Estimator to join our growing team inAlbuquerque. The Estimator will perform quantity take-offs, interpret construction drawings,and prepare detailed and competitive landscape and sitework bids. This is an on-site positionand an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with a successful and reputablecontractor.Accent Landscape is a leading commercial landscape construction company based inAlbuquerque, New Mexico. We specialize in public works projects and self-perform a varietyof scopes including grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscape, and site furnishings.In 2023, we were recognized as one of the Top 150 Largest Landscape Companies in theNation, completing between $25–30 million in annual sales. Our projects include parks,schools, and streetscapes throughout New Mexico. We operate as both a general contractorand subcontractor, depending on project scope.Position OverviewPerform accurate and detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings (including grading, drainage, irrigation, utility, and site plans)Review and interpret construction drawings, details, and specificationsRequest and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricingPrepare and assemble bid proposals and supporting documentationWork closely with project managers and superintendents to confirm scopes of workAssist with project handoff, budgeting, and cost tracking when requiredQualificationsExperience as a construction estimator or landscape estimator (preferred)Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsProficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and OnCenter Takeoff is a plus (not required)Strong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skillsCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive salary, negotiable based on experienceSimple IRA with company matchPaid time off (PTO)Performance-based bonusesProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesWork ScheduleApproximately 45 hours per week\On-site at Accent Landscape’s Albuquerque, NM office (not a remote position)
