Part-Time Overnight Produce Receiver

Job ResponsibilitiesTake charge of processing all incoming product deliveries efficiently and accurately. Ensure strict compliance with receiving procedures during the timely processing of deliveries. Monitor and replenish receiving supplies as needed. Maintain an orderly and hygienic backstock area and cooler. Secure the receiving area while on duty for safety and security. Organize and break down designated loads for easy access. Make sure all refrigerated items are either stocked or properly stored. Alert the team about incoming merchandise or distribute received products accordingly. Establish and maintain a designated area for merchandise returns and transfers. Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and safe at all times. Process special orders, label pricing, and promptly notify guests of their order arrival. Utilize communication tools, including a department logbook, for effective coordination. Document product transfers, waste, and spoilage properly. Adhere to all health and sanitation regulations and safe working practices. Operate all receiving equipment safely and correctly. Practice and promote proper lifting techniques among team members. Report any life safety or fire hazards and company policy violations to the Team Leader. Effectively communicate with co-workers regarding receiving and department procedures. Participate in all scheduled department, store, and training meetings. Handle department phone calls and pages with professionalism when possible. Develop a strong understanding of all department vendors. Verify deliveries and note any discrepancies on invoices, reporting them to the Team Leader. Assist in identifying and correcting any discrepancies following proper procedures. Help in stocking product as needed to maintain availability. Organize and file all completed paperwork efficiently. Accurately record hours worked using the time clock. Adhere to the dress code, including wearing non-slip shoes and cut-resistant gloves as required. Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break. Capable of bending, stooping, and climbing ladders as needed. Thorough understanding of proper lifting techniques. Ability to lift loads up to 50 pounds safely. Capable of pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 100 pounds unassisted. Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive hand movements for various tasks. Ability to consistently bend, twist, reach, and squat during shifts. Able to regularly lift and carry loads up to 10 pounds and intermittently up to 25 pounds. Strong communication skills to maintain employee safety and security. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. Excellent organizational skills with a knack for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. Basic computer proficiency required. Must work well independently and in teams, with a self-motivated attitude. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
