HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE MAGIC VALLEY ReStore: ASSISTANT MANAGER POSITION MISSION STATEMENT·        Provide significant, long-term financial support to Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley through the sale of new and used building materials.·        Provide additional materials to Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley for use in the construction of homes.·        Provide low-cost material to homeowners, fostering neighborhood revitalization.·        Reduce unnecessary waste of useable construction materials.·        Increase community awareness of the positive effect Habitat for Humanity has for the Magic Valley.·        Increase community awareness about volunteer opportunities with Habitat for Humanity.  JobTitle: ReStore Assistant ManagerReports to: ReStore Manager Direct Reports: ReStore Staff Indirect reporting: Volunteers, Community Service workers POSITION SUMMARY: The ReStore Assistant Manager is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of this important fundraising outlet. Duties associated with the position include but are not limited to: ReStore and receiving operations, , supervision, , recognition and retention of Associates (staff and volunteer), as well as the direct support of the goals and mission of Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley. Saturday work schedule is a must. Operations and SalesŸ Supervises daily operating procedures.Ÿ Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors, including individuals, businesses, community and church groups Ÿ Performs basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, and data bases).Ÿ Operates basic office equipment to include copiers, facsimiles, telephones and calculators.Ÿ Coordinates decision of product pricingŸ Acts to ensure that all donors, customers, and volunteers are treated equally, fairly, and with dignity.Ÿ Assists cashiers and cover as necessary.Ÿ Schedule, coordinate, advertise, and facilitate in-store craft classes. Finance and AdministrationŸ Works in conjunction with the ReStore Manager as necessary, to implement and maintain policies.·        Develop sufficient knowledge of merchandise and store procedures to serve as Manager on Duty. Marketing/Public RelationsŸ Assist in the planning and executing of special events for ReStore. ·        Assist staff and volunteers to prepare appropriate space for incoming items.·        Facilitate the logical and attractive display of merchandise.  Volunteers and Staffing Ÿ Coordinates and supervises training of volunteers and staff.      Ÿ Evaluate, recognize and rewards staff and volunteer performance.                    ·        Maintains effective working relationships with donors, HFH-MV Board, volunteers, HFH-MV homeowners and the public.Ÿ Attends appropriate HFH-MV committee meetings.Ÿ Understands and maintains ReStore policies and procedures.Ÿ Understands HFH-MV construction materials and needs.Ÿ Performs other duties as assigned.Ÿ Assists with all reviews and ensures accountability processes that encourage staff responsibility for their job performance and maintain positive moral.Ÿ Demonstrate and train staff in outstanding service to customers, donors, volunteers and othersŸ Assists with the selection and onboarding of new staff. EducationŸ High school diploma or equivalent; related vocational or college degree preferred. Work ExperienceŸ Minimum of 2-3 years job-related experience preferred.Ÿ Previous work with volunteers, sales and or construction background preferred. Skills and AbilitiesŸ Effective interpersonal and organizational skills, team playerŸ Effective communication skills, both written and oral.Ÿ Ability to provide direction to HFH-MV staff/volunteers in a positive, affirming manner.Ÿ Ability and willingness to call on existing and potential donors to increase merchandise donations to the store.Ÿ History of successfully adaption to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, this position:Ÿ Requires ability to safely lift or move objects weighing 50 pounds on occasional basis.Ÿ Requires the physical ability to sit, walk and/or standing, the majority of the day while moving about the store assisting customers.Ÿ Indoor and outdoor work at times.  RATE OF PAY: Based on qualifications.  Minimum starting wage $19 per hourBENEFITS: Paid Medical/Dental and matched 401K Savings Plan ROUGH SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9:15-6:15 and Saturday 7:45-4:15  NOTE:Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley is an equal opportunity employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin or disability.
