One of our clients needs a Operations Research Analyst for a permanent position in Los Angeles, California.Position: Operations Research AnalystLocation: LA, CaliforniaPosition Type: Permanent positionClearance : Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP access Description In this position, the Operations Research Analyst will support Space Safari and its portfolio of special projects, including Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) missions. The selected candidate will leverage technical, operational, and analytical expertise to enable the rapid planning, integration, and execution of responsive space capabilities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across the full space mission lifecycle, including spacecraft systems, ground systems, launch operations, and on-orbit execution. This role requires the ability to assess complex operational challenges, operate effectively within accelerated timelines, and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance responsive and resilient space operations. Key Responsibilities The Operations Research Analyst will:Plan and execute Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) missions, including spacecraft integration, ground systems, launch operations, logistics, and on-orbit executionConduct mission analysis, mission planning, CONOPS development, and readiness exercises to support responsive space operationsCoordinate daily with government customers, mission partners, and industry stakeholders to ensure mission alignment and rapid executionManage the Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) technical baseline, leading integration across spacecraft buses, payloads, ground systems, software, and mission systemsMaintain technical risk registers and develop mitigation strategies across mission and system elementsPerform technical assessments of space, ground, and operational architectures to support mission planning and system integrationDefine system performance data requirements, support sustainment planning, and contribute to development of C2 and mission planning softwareDevelop acquisition requirements and documentation supporting rapid procurement pathways (e.g., SBIR, OTA)Support source selections, evaluate technical proposals, and ensure alignment with mission and operational requirementsAssist with financial and program documentation (e.g., Form 9, MIPR) and track cost, schedule, and performance metricsCoordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure execution and adherence to program timelinesSupport technical and contractual negotiations related to scope, pricing, and program requirementsApply operational frameworks and doctrine, including Joint Warfighting Concepts, CCMD processes, DIME, OODA Loop, and JPP Requirements Skills and Experience The Operations Research Analyst must have:Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP access10+ years of experience supporting large-scale space programs in acquisition, systems engineering, or space operations3+ years of direct experience in space operations or operational mission planning8+ years of experience with National Security Space systems, including spacecraft, ground systems, and/or launch operationsStrong understanding of space mission architecture, spacecraft systems, ground segment operations, and launch integrationExperience supporting rapid acquisition programs and accelerated development environments (e.g., SBIR, OTA)Proven ability to support technical integration across multiple mission elements and stakeholder organizationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in mission planning, operational analysis, and technical risk managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing senior leadership and mission partnersAbility and willingness to work onsite in U.S. Government facilities and secure environments Education and Certifications The Operations Research Analyst must meet the following: RequiredBachelor's Degree (STEM preferred)Master's Degree (STEM, business/management or related area) BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOPaid Parental LeaveTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidays If you are interested in this position, please send me a copy of your latest resume at terry.qazi@iquasar.com with the information requested below.
