A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission form) • 13-week assignment length • Every other weekend required • No call requirements • Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units • Patient ratios: 1:5-6 • 60-bed unit caring for medical patients • Equipment includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs • EMR system: EPIC • Required: Current RN license (Missouri eligible or licensed), BLS from AHA • Preferred: ACLS from AHA • Minimum 1 year medical surgical experience (inpatient only) required • Dress code: Black scrubs only • Flu vaccination required from November 1 - April 1 • Night shift orientates on day shift - must be available entire orientation week • Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments • Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities • Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance Facility: This healthcare facility has been serving the South County area for more than 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
