As a Display Solutions Organization Hardware Enablement Architect, you will define the end-to-end software architecture and technical direction for display related solutions that function as the bridge between Displays Hardware and various HP based Software Solutions. You will lead teams through the software development lifecycle using both agile and waterfall methodologies, partnering closely with leaders from Product Planning and partner software organizations to translate requirements into executable plans and reliable releases. Success in this role requires strong technical breadth, influential leadership (without direct authority), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while closing gaps and driving outcomes.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead multiple project teams of software application engineers that are both internal and outsourced development partnersTake responsibility for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, integration, and delivery.Establish stable plans of record for specific software development areas and tasksDrive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization.Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.Develop and maintain resource plans, identify resource gaps and make plans for mitigating themReview and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standardsProvide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.Coordinate and partner across all relevant engineering, program management, product management and marketing groups to ensure approved features are integrated, tested, and launched successfullyMonitor scope and conduct Change Management to not exceed Scrum teams’ velocity and optimize product valueMonitor and communicate Project progress, issues and risksManage escalations, facilitate analysis, collaborate with management, development partners and stakeholders to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices through resolutionIdentify organizational and process weaknesses and develop and champion plans for continuous improvementManage integration of software from multiple teams, integration of new tool or technology, drive innovation as neededEmbrace the agile development model adopted by the group and contribute to enhancing the practice at the Team and Program levelsRemove impediments under your control/influence or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impedimentLead, provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team membersAssist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationProvide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by exampleEducation And Experience RequiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experienceExperience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, Agile Games Strong experience with Agile portfolio and sprint backlog planning, grooming and executionExperience with technical functional modeling, diagramming, capturing functional specifications, writing User Stories, and capturing sequence diagramsExperience with design, development, test and delivery of complex software and hardware systemsExperience with Scrum, and the Scrum Master and Product Owner rolesKnowledge And SkillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively within both an Agile and Waterfall team environmentStrong background in hardware enabling software developmentProficient in coding languages such as C# and C++Skilled in using tools including MS Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and JiraCapable of developing small test applications to evaluate APIsExceptional ability to present technical materials and plans to audiences at all levels, including senior managementExtensive experience collaborating with third-party partners, setting strategic direction, managing expectations, and coordinating schedulesExpertise in the usability of software applications across multiple platforms, including Windows and MacOSSolid understanding of Enterprise IT manageabilityDisciplined approach to testing and quality assurance, with strong debugging and troubleshooting skillsComprehensive knowledge of Agile methodologies: SCRUM, Scrumban, Kanban, etc.Proven experience as a technical leadScrum Product Owner certification (CSPO) First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in EnglishStrong facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, mentoring and increased transparencyImpact & Scope Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects.Disclaimer This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
