WordPress Developer & Web Designer

WordPress Developer & Web Designer *Brevard SEM | Melbourne, Florida* Brevard SEM is hiring a WordPress developer who can also design. We need someone who can build a website, make it look good, and keep it running properly. You’ll work with our team on new websites, redesigns, landing pages, and updates to existing client sites. You should be comfortable taking a project from the first design through launch, troubleshooting issues, and checking your work before it goes to the client. Responsibilities * Design and build WordPress websites and landing pages. * Create layouts that are easy to navigate and work well on desktop and mobile. * Customize themes, templates, and page builder components. * Update and maintain existing client websites. * Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, website errors, and hosting issues. * Improve page speed and follow basic technical SEO practices. * Set up forms, tracking, and third-party integrations. * Handle staging sites, backups, migrations, and launches. * Test websites across browsers and devices. * Work with our SEO, content, and account management team. * Meet deadlines and keep the team informed about progress and problems. Qualifications * Experience designing and developing WordPress websites. * A portfolio showing your work. * Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. * Experience with WordPress page builders and custom development. * A good eye for typography, spacing, color, and layout. * An understanding of responsive design and website usability. * Experience fixing theme, plugin, and performance issues. * Ability to follow brand guidelines and design from scratch when needed. * Strong attention to detail. * Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly.
