Furnace Melter – Nitinol & Metal Alloy Processing Pay: $26.00–$30.00/hourPosition SummaryThe Furnace Melter is responsible for operating and maintaining high-temperature induction and vacuum furnaces used for melting, heat treating, and processing Nitinol and other metal alloys. This role is critical to ensuring material integrity, quality, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process. The Furnace Melter follows strict process controls, safety standards, and documentation requirements to support reliable production outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor induction and vacuum furnaces for melting and heat treating Nitinol and other metal alloysLoad and unload materials into furnaces in accordance with established safety and process proceduresSet, monitor, and record furnace temperature cycles, vacuum levels, and timing parameters per work instructions and specificationsPerform in-process inspections and measurements to verify metallurgical and mechanical requirements are metMaintain accurate batch records, furnace logs, and quality documentation in compliance with quality standardsPerform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on furnace equipmentSafely handle, transport, and store raw materials, crucibles, and finished metal productsCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve process issues and improve efficiencyFollow all safety, environmental, and cleanroom procedures related to metal melting and handlingRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, foundry, or furnace operation environmentBasic mechanical and technical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret technical documents, work orders, and blueprintsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety standardsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a high-temperature environment while wearing required PPEWillingness to work in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environmentPhysical & Additional RequirementsAbility to push and pull up to 50 lbsAbility to bend and squat at least 10 times per hourAbility to wear respiratory protectionAbility to climb stairs and laddersAbility to operate overhead cranesAbility to operate forkliftsCompensationCompetitive hourly pay ranging from $26.00–$30.00/hour, based on experience and qualificationsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
