During the summer, a 4/10 schedule is available with every other Friday off.PAY RANGE: Salary range is $65,000 – $80,000/year, paid on an hourly basis (Overtime eligible).JOB DESCRIPTIONCV Resources, in partnership with our client (a full-service Los Angeles area accounting firm), seeks a Tax Staff Accountant to join their growing team. The firm offers auditing, taxation, and consulting services to a diverse multi-state client. Reporting to a Manager or Partner, the Tax Staff Accountant will support tax and audit engagements while benefiting from a collaborative, employee-first culture with supportive management and excellent work-life flexibility.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TAX STAFF ACCOUNTANTTax & Audit EngagementsPrepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and various business entity types (sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations).Plan and execute audit and tax engagements, including monitoring budgets and progress and reporting status to team members.Assist in research and analysis of accounting and tax issues.Prepare financial statements and accompanying footnote disclosures.Interact directly with client personnel to discuss and resolve tax and accounting-related matters.MiscellaneousTake on increasing responsibilities as skills are demonstrated and as requested by management.Collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented staff.REQUIREMENTS OF THE TAX STAFF ACCOUNTANTRequiredAt least one (1) year of relevant tax accounting experience.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.Tax preparation experience.PreferredCPA certification or active pursuit of CPA.Current/prior employment at a public accounting firm.Master's degree in Business Taxation (MBT) or Master's of Science in Taxation (MST).Audit experience.SKILLS OF THE TAX STAFF ACCOUNTANTRequiredTechnicalProficiency with Microsoft Office.Experience with tax and accounting software.InterpersonalSelf-motivated and detail-oriented.Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Warm, positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent client service.PreferredTechnical(ProSystem fx, AdvancedFlow, Engagement Manager, SureLink, SafeSend a plus).For further information, send your resume in MS Word format to mark@cvrstaffing.com.All inquiries will be held in the strictest confidence.
