Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cable Technician located in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area. The Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems. Day-to-day tasks include pulling copper and fiber, terminating, form and fanning, labeling, using hand tools, and ensuring the proper setup and functioning of structured cabling systems. The technician will also ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Qualifications Proficiency in working with cables and cabling systemsExperience with structured cabling and related technologiesKnowledge of electricity and electrical systemsFamiliarity with hand tools used in cabling and electrical tasksExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety standardsAbility to work collaboratively and independently in an on-site environmentRelevant certifications such as BICSI, Cisco, or CompTIA are a plusPrevious experience in similar roles within IT or technical environments is beneficial
