Electrical Engineer – Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide product support for elevator electrical systems and electronic components. This role focuses on maintaining product integrity, supporting design changes, troubleshooting complex issues, and integrating new electrical components into existing systems while meeting cost and schedule objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for existing elevator electrical systems and componentsAnalyze and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layoutsSupport PLM engineering activities including architecture development, risk assessment, and trade-off analysisLead and perform electrical qualification testing and validation activitiesSupport system-level DFMEA, modeling, simulation, and verification testingCollaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and field engineering teamsPerform hands-on integration, validation, troubleshooting, and pre-production testingSupport PCB updates, electrical design improvements, and product enhancement initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic EngineeringStrong knowledge of power distribution, protection, controls, motors, and system analysisExperience reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagramsFamiliarity with North American electrical codes and standards (UL, CSA, NEC, NFPA, ASME preferred)Experience with ECAD tools such as Cadence, PSpice, ViewLogic, AutoCAD, or E3 ZukenKnowledge of PCB design, assembly, and manufacturing processesExperience with electrical test and measurement equipmentStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skillsPreferredHands-on experience with embedded systems integration and testingExperience working with suppliers and regulatory agenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills in a team-oriented environment
