Together with our partners, we are building environmentally-friendly, sustainable, and highly productive farms.What You'll DoOwn end-to-end material planning across NPI and early production builds (EVT, DVT, PVT, ramp)Convert demand signals into purchase orders, supplier commits, and delivery schedulesManage PO lifecycle: creation, tracking, expediting, and issue resolutionMaintain accurate system data (lead times, MOQs, safety stock, supplier commitments)Own Clear-to-Build readiness across all builds, ensuring material availability aligns with production schedulesIdentify shortages, mismatches, and risks early; drive mitigation actions cross-functionallyPartner with engineering, production, and suppliers to ensure build execution successSupport S&OP planning by translating forecasts into supply plans and execution actionsMaintain supply-demand alignment across changing priorities and imperfect inputsOwn inventory accuracy, material positioning, and allocation across buildsManage excess & obsolete, shortages, and part transitionsDrive kitting readiness and material flow to support productionAct as day-to-day interface with key suppliers on delivery schedules and material readinessSupport early supplier engagement for NPI and long-lead componentsImprove data integrity and reporting within ERP/MRP systemsCreate visibility tools (trackers, dashboards) for supply health and build readinessWhat you Bring8+ years in material planning, production planning, or supply chain operations in hardware environmentsExperience supporting NPI buildsStrong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (NetSuite, SOS, or similar)Experience with BOM structures, ECOs, and revision controlProven track record of material lead time management, supplier commits, and PO executionAbility to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with incomplete dataBias toward action and strong ownership of outcomesDeep understanding of Clear-to-Build and production readiness mechanicsHighly detail-oriented with strong operational follow-throughComfortable operating as an individual owner in a lean teamStrong cross-functional communicator with the ability to work with engineering, operations, and suppliersNice to HaveExperience in robotics, ag tech, automotive, or complex electromechanical systemsExposure to contract manufacturing environments and build coordinationExperience with early-stage startups scaling hardware operationsFamiliarity with inventory accounting concepts (E&O, PPV, etc.)Strong data analysis skills (Excel/Sheets, SQL a plus)Compensation Target$135,000 - $165,000Verdant reserves the ability to adjust the compensation range based on the final candidate's experience, skillset, and geography.
