We are seeking a Diesel Shop Manager to be leading a team of mechanics that ensure our fleet of equipment & tools are safe and working properly.
Starting base at $35/hr with salary options available for the right candidate.

Position Overview:
The Shop Manager will supervise and coordinate all activities in the shop. This includes turning wrenches, managing personnel, fleet of trucks, all heavy and light equipment, tools, maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations. The position is also accountable for management of inventory and enforcement of safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, highly organized and have excellent communication and management skills. The manager should be able to anticipate and address hindrances to operational efficiency. This person will provide solutions instead of only identifying problems plus create and reinforce a culture of respect, integrity and teamwork within a fun work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervise and train staff when necessary
Monitor workflow with active participation to ensure the next job is ready to start
Assist other employees in developing their skills with support
Conduct repair and maintenance on all trucks and equipment
Responsible for ordering (locating correct part and best price) and tracking parts to complete work
Ensure all parts are coded to proper service orders
Check the progress of each repair order throughout the day
Maintain high quality repairs and minimize comebacks
Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
Creating and managing other employees, maintenance, and work schedules
Overseeing work to anticipate, detect and address factors that impede operations
Enforcing safety regulations and protocols
Implementing strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency
Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained
Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed
Perform administrative tasks such as updating equipment orders, stock receipts and staff schedules
Contributes to team effort by holding themselves accountable to achieve desired results
Maintain good working relationships with all company employees
Character Traits, Qualifications and Skills:
Three to Five (3-5) years of heavy duty mechanic experience with all types of construction equipment (hydraulics, electrical, engine work) is Required
DOT Compliance is preferred
CDL A is preferred
Clean driving record with a current and valid driver’s license
