Washington St.Grand Forks, ND 58201Pay Range: $105,081.60 - $142,188.80Summary:Altru Health System is seeking an APP to join our established and collaborative Urology team in Grand Forks, North Dakota.This is an excellent opportunity to join a robust, team-based practice while enjoying strong work-life balance in a clinic-focused role.Position HighlightsJoin a robust team of Urologists and APPsWork-life balance: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMNo call requiredOutpatient-focused urology practiceWhat You'll DoProvide outpatient urology care including:New patient evaluationsReferrals and consultsPost-operative follow-upsRoutine rechecks and same-day add-onsPerform histories, physical exams, and patient assessmentsOrder and interpret labs and diagnostic testsEducate patients and families on urologic conditions, treatment plans, and post-op careCollaborate closely with physicians, APPs, and nursing staffPrescribe medications and manage treatment plans within scopeEssential Job Functions:Provides patient/patient's family with appropriate education based on the patient's condition and identifies needs in order to optimize understanding. Provides health maintenance and disease management counseling to patients.Obtains comprehensive medical histories, performs physical examinations/assessments and initiates admission orders as appropriate.Participates in plans for health promotion, prevention and maintenance for the Altru Health System, the community and region.Provides medical management and/or other interventions for acute and chronic health problems.Writes orders for prescription medication under the established protocol.Orders and interprets lab studies and diagnostic tests to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment as appropriate. Notifies patients promptly of test results. Collaborates with physicians, as necessary, to verify diagnosis, identify high-risk situations, or alerts to changes in patient's status and takes appropriate action.Serves as a liaison and a resource for physician, health care team members, patients and families.Performs pain assessment and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
