Mortgage Underwriting Assistant

This is a full-time in-office position at our 8622 N Himes Ave office in Tampa, Florida. This position will play a key role in assisting our underwriters with preparing and reviewing loan files to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Responsibilities:Assisting underwriters in gathering, reviewing, and verifying loan documentationEnsuring accuracy and completeness of all loan filesPreparing files for underwriting reviewCommunicating with loan officers, processors, and other team members to resolve outstanding conditionsMaintaining compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirementsQualifications:Previous experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, or processingStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency with mortgage software systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAbout Company:Metroplex Mortgage Services, Inc. was founded in 2001 and is an approved USDA, FHA, and VA lender.
