Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning) – NYCWe’re currently working with a high-profile Asset Management firm in New York that is looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing team.This is a hands-on role focused on building and deploying Machine Learning models across large-scale operational and investment datasets. The position will suit someone who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with both technical and commercial teams.The initial focus of the role will be around Bitcoin mining operations, using ML to improve performance, predict hardware failures, and optimize operational efficiency across a large fleet of devices.Key experience required: • Strong commercial experience within Data Science / Machine Learning • Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow • Experience with Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, or SageMaker • Knowledge of anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and time-series modelling • Comfortable working with large, noisy datasets • Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior stakeholders • Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) preferredThe role offers the opportunity to work on genuinely interesting ML problems within a collaborative and high-performing environment.For more information, please contact:hello@freshtechit.com
