As a Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing lesson plans, providing education to middle school students, and effectively communicating with students, parents, and staff.Teachers follow provided curriculum and lesson plans, and present those lessons to their students, individually or in groups. The High School Choice (HSC) program within High Jump helps students better understand and navigate the high school process in Chicago. Throughout this process it is our goal that students learn more about themselves, their identities, and what they want in high school and beyondThe curriculum focuses on the high school selection process, including extensive admissions education, financial aid counseling, and exam prep seminars for students and their familiesThey grade and track the progress of their students and keep an updated Google Classroom for students with assignments and feedback and inform parents about their progressTeachers will communicate with Teaching Assistants about how they can engage in the classroom and with studentsTeachers are responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment in order to optimize student capabilities and develop their love of learningQualifications: Must be 18 years of ageAssociates degree minimum; bachelors degree preferredTeaching certification not required but preferred for content areasExperience working with students or in organizations that serve youthPlease review Position Descriptions Here.Powered by JazzHRPViUpVOxFT
