PW800 Disassembly Technician (2nd Shift)(Onsite)

Pratt & Whitney Disassembly TechnicianWe have an exciting opportunity to join our disassembly team in the PW800 line at the engine center located in Bridgeport, WV. The person in this role will be responsible for disassembling various engine parts and components, working from technical instructions and using various hand tools and precision measuring equipment. You will also support continuous improvement, quality, and EH&S standards and initiatives to meet the company's goals. This position will work on our 2nd shift, which is Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-1:30am. Training may take place on a different shift than 2nd for up to 6 months.Pratt & Whitney Bridgeport, WV is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.Key Responsibilities:Disassemble various engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines in the repair and overhaul area.Use various hand tools, precision measuring equipment, special tooling and gauges.Coordinate parts, consumables and non-product material movements.Work from Manuals, Service Bulletins and other technical instructions.Function as an Assembler in Department 1800 to ensure standard work and best practices are accomplished while assuring daily targets are met.The team member must be fully engaged in supporting all ACE, Quality, EH&S, and overall Operations initiatives and policies to meet the company's goals.Comply with all company work rules, follow safe work practices and procedures established to protect the environment, and report to supervisors all unsafe acts, hazardous conditions, and conditions which impact or have the potential to impact the environment.Responsible for reading, understanding, and complying with RTX's Code of Ethics, including the obligation to report actual and suspected violations of the code.Perform all other related duties as required or assigned.Qualifications You Must Have:High school education or GED equivalent2+ years' work experience in a mechanical fieldQualifications We Prefer:Active Powerplant License2+ years specialized training in maintenance, assembly or test of gas turbine engines or similar aircraft systemsPrior knowledge of aircraft engine assembly procedures including fits and tolerances, use of precision measuring instruments and gauges, hand tools, special assembly equipment and the ability to work from complicated drawings and specifications.
