This role is ideal for someone who understands higher-acuity dementia care and can provide consistent, calm, and patient support while maintaining dignity and quality of life.About the client:Lives at home with his wife and their senior dogMust be comfortable working in a home with a dogDiagnosed with advanced-stage dementia, requiring hands-on care, redirection, and supervisionBenefits from routine, reassurance, and a calm, structured environmentFamily values respectful, compassionate, and engaged caregiversThe goal of this role is to provide safety, comfort, and quality of life through consistency and connection.Responsibilities:Provide continuous supervision, companionship, and redirectionAssist with all ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, meals)Manage advanced dementia behaviors with patience and skillMaintain a calm, structured daily routineSupport mobility and ensure safety at all timesLight housekeeping and household supportCommunicate updates to family and agency staffSchedule:Part-Time or Full-Time availableOpportunity for additional hours with other clientsQualifications:Required: Experience with advanced dementia or Alzheimer's carePatient, calm, and dependableStrong communication and observation skillsReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseMust be comfortable with dogs (required)Must pass background check and referencesWhy join NPLH?
