Trading Systems Engineer
We are partnering with a leading algorithmic trading firm building some of the fastest and most resilient trading systems in the world. As they continue to expand globally, they’re investing heavily in the infrastructure that powers their trading technology - from building out next-generation network architecture to deploying new low-latency servers across markets worldwide.They are looking for a Trading Systems Engineer to join the team responsible for designing, building, and scaling the core infrastructure underpinning their trading platforms.This is a highly technical role focused on performance, reliability, and automation — ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex systems problems at the intersection of hardware, networking, and software.What you’ll doBuild and scale infrastructure supporting global trading systems across multiple exchanges and data centresDesign and deploy new server environments globally, optimised for ultra-low latency workloadsHelp expand and modernise the firm’s global network infrastructureAutomate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and operational workflows using PythonWork closely with trading, network engineering, and systems teams to improve performance and reliabilityTroubleshoot complex production issues across hardware, OS, and network layersMust-have:Strong systems/infrastructure engineering experience in a high-performance environmentExcellent Python skills — able to build tooling, automation, and infrastructure servicesDeep technical understanding of Linux systems, servers, networking, and performance tuningStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a low-level mindsetPassion for building reliable, scalable infrastructureNice to have:Experience with server overclocking, BIOS tuning, or hardware-level optimisationExperience with custom water-cooling or thermal management for high-performance systemsKnowledge of time synchronisation technologies (PTP, NTP, GPS clocks, clock distribution) in latency-sensitive environmentsBackground in low-latency trading, HPC, or performance-critical environments
