Software Engineer

Job Title: AWS /Flink EngineerLocation: San Antonio /Plano , TX - onsitePrimary Skills (Must-Have):• Apache Flink – Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining Flink pipeline jobs for data processing and analytics. This is the core skill; the candidate will function as the team's subject matter expert on Flink from day one.• Java – Strong foundational knowledge, as Flink natively supports Java. Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and related Java ecosystem tools is expected.• AWS Development – Broad, hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, and Step Functions. Note: Experience limited solely to deploying Flink on AWS EKS does NOT meet this requirement.• Golang – Proficiency in Golang for developing Kubernetes applications and Lambda functions.• Terraform – Experience with Infrastructure as Code for defining and managing cloud infrastructure.• Kubernetes / Containerization – Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications within AWS EKS, along with Docker.• Kafka – Familiarity with real-time data streaming and asynchronous messaging.• Version Control – Proficiency with Git.• Agile – Familiarity with Agile/SDLC methodologies.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Design, develop, code, and test features using Java and Spring Boot• Build and maintain RESTful web services for application integrations• Develop and maintain Apache Flink pipeline jobs• Develop and work with Kafka for real-time data streaming• Contribute to application deployment on AWS (EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Step Functions)• Define and manage infrastructure using Terraform• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; troubleshoot and debug defects• Create and maintain technical documentation• Collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across the SDLC
