Construction Project Manager - Data Centers

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale data center projects on behalf of an established Owner-Operator in Louisiana.This role is responsible for full lifecycle project execution — from pre-construction through commissioning and handover — ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to strict technical and operational standards.You will act as the owner’s on-site representative, managing general contractors, design teams, and key stakeholders across complex mission critical builds.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end construction delivery of data center projects from pre-construction through turnoverManage general contractors, design consultants, and major trade partners on behalf of the ownerOversee scope, schedule, budget, and risk management across all project phasesDrive alignment between design intent, construction execution, and operational requirementsLead and coordinate MEP-heavy construction activities (electrical, mechanical, controls, and infrastructure systems)Manage project schedules, milestones, and critical path activitiesOversee procurement coordination, long-lead equipment tracking, and delivery sequencingEnsure strict adherence to quality standards, commissioning requirements, and project specificationsSupport commissioning (CX) readiness and integrated systems testing (IST) coordinationLead regular site meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder reportingManage and mitigate project risks, change orders, and commercial impactsEnsure compliance with safety, regulatory, and owner standards at all timesProject Scope ExposureHyperscale data center construction (ground-up builds)Electrical infrastructure (MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear)Mechanical systems (chilled water plants, CRAH/CRAC, cooling infrastructure)Controls integration (BMS / EPMS / SCADA coordination)Civil and structural works supporting mission critical facilitiesQualifications7–12+ years of experience in construction project managementStrong background in data center, mission critical, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projectsPrior experience working for an Owner-Operator, Developer, or General ContractorProven track record delivering complex MEP-heavy projectsStrong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning, and turnover processesExperience managing multi-million to billion-dollar capital projectsExcellent stakeholder management and leadership skillsAbility to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability environmentPreferredDirect hyperscale data center experience (AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta environments)Experience in greenfield ground-up buildsFamiliarity with Cx processes, BIM coordination, and project controls toolsEngineering, Construction Management, or related degree
