Corporate Safety Initiative LeadLead corporate safety initiative.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesComplete and track machine certificationsInspect and perform trainings on safety equipmentConduct safety auditsAssist with implementation of safety program improvementsLead respiratory protection program (trainings and scheduling fit testing)Schedule CPR certification classesSchedule and execute safety drillsLead Safety CommitteeLead safety training for new hiresEnforce safety programEnsure safety program is compliant with OSHA and other regulatory guidelines as applicableAssist with workplace accident investigationsPerform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversite of safety committee including safety officers.AS9100/ISO Specific DutiesBe familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.Cooperate with Auditors.Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.Education And/Or ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Degree. Bachelor's degree in Safety field preferred; or related experience and/or training; or combination.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCPR Trainer Certification PreferredPhysical DemandsEmployee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel to file, and lift and/or move at least 25 pounds.Work EnvironmentNoise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
