Responsibilities
Oversee daily office operations, including managing phone systems, front desk duties, and calendar scheduling for church events and meetings
Coordinate event planning efforts for worship services, community outreach programs, and special events to ensure successful execution from inception to completion
Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, payments, and service quality assurance to support church functions
Maintain accurate filing systems for church records, correspondence, and legal documents while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies
Support human resources functions including managing personnel files, and facilitating communication across teams
Requirements
Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a religious or nonprofit setting is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette to interact professionally with congregation members, vendors, and staff
Demonstrated supervisory experience with a talent for team management and fostering a collaborative environment
Experience in event planning, vendor management, human resources practices, and office technology including multi-line phone systems and calendar management tools
Ability to handle clerical duties such as filing, data entry, record keeping, and front desk responsibilities efficiently
