Quoting Specialist - Distribution

Job DescriptionOur team is looking to fill our open Quoting Specialist – Distribution position! This role will prepare accurate quotes for pricing and build estimates by gathering necessary information for distributed products.Here's What You'll Do:Prepare accurate quotes and estimates. Pick template or form based on information available. Establish scope of work. Own and manage templates for repair work. Manage RFQs from Sales, Business Development, Engineering and Field Engineering. Utilize Approval Matrix as needed. Maintain appropriate Distribution product certifications, requirements, and knowledge of products. Seek Legal’s input on Terms & Conditions where needed. Manage RFQ list in progress/queue. Request quotes if needed from Shipping and Buyers. Identify billing milestones. Execute customer requests or changes to existing POs where appropriate. Manage quoted waiting on approval list, following up where needed. Gather data on criteria for quotes from internal team members. Address customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally. Proactively identify and address areas of concern or improvement. Here's What You'll Need:At least 3-5 years of related experienceExperience with multi-product linesExperience with Machining or FabricationExperience with electrical switch gearsExperience with distributed productsStrong communication and analytical skillsHigh attention to detailProvide excellent customer serviceStrong technical proficiency and in-depth knowledge of our productsExposure to international markets and sales is beneficialExperience with commodity indexes and cost drivers in the industryExposure to value propositions
