*Overview* We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Waitstaff member to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage service, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have a passion for hospitality excellence. This position offers an engaging work environment where teamwork, professionalism, and guest satisfaction are paramount. *Responsibilities* * Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements as needed * Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS * Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation * Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing * Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and food handling * Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items to guests * Ensure guest relations are prioritized by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously * Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash handling and inventory checks * Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when necessary * Uphold food safety standards and proper sanitation protocols at all times *Experience* * Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining settings * Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS * Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is highly desirable * Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods * Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service best practices * Experience with OpenTable reservations system is a plus * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest rapport * Basic math skills for processing payments and managing tabs accurately * Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation procedures in the food industry * Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous This role is integral to delivering an outstanding dining experience that keeps guests returning.
