Embedded Hardware Engineer
Supporting firmware development and hardware implementation for access control products, the full-time Embedded Hardware Systems Engineer will work remotely from the San Diego or Los Angeles area, focusing on developing, debugging, and sustaining embedded firmware modules while collaborating with cross-functional teams on hardware validation and system-level testing.
Key responsibilities
Develop, debug, and sustain embedded firmware modules for existing product lines and new features
Support hardware bring-up, PCB validation, and debugging for new hardware revisions
Conduct hardware validation and system-level testing using lab instrumentation and assist in test fixture development
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in embedded hardware engineering
Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ development with hands-on experience in firmware development and debugging
Experience supporting hardware integration activities, including PCB bring-up and hardware validation
Working knowledge of schematics and PCB design principles
