Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Product Sustaining & RedesignLocation: columbus INDuration: Long TermKey ResponsibilitiesOwn the redesign of an existing product from obsolete component identification through production implementation.Serve as the technical lead coordinating engineering, quality, testing, manufacturing, and operations teams.Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate electrical components based on existing specifications and circuit function.Assess PCB, schematic, firmware, or software changes required to support new components.Develop and propose qualification plans and testing strategies.Perform and oversee electrical and environmental testing in compliance with safety protocols.Analyze and communicate test results, risks, and recommendations.Define cutover strategies including alpha, beta, and gamma production plans.Partner with operations to update BOMs and support manufacturing implementation.Gather feedback from production plants and support early production runs.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering10+ years of electrical engineering experienceProven leadership of redesign or sustaining engineering projectsTechnical SkillsStrong schematic and PCB comprehensionHands-on lab and test equipment experienceFamiliarity with oscilloscopes, power meters, humidity chambers, and solderingStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools
