The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience designing structural concrete elements, anchor systems, and steel-to-concrete interfaces while maintaining a strong focus on constructability and field execution.You will work closely with engineering, project management, fabrication, and field teams to ensure designs are structurally sound, efficient to install, and aligned with project schedules.This position offers strong technical ownership and the opportunity to grow into a lead structural role within the department.Key ResponsibilitiesCivil Concrete & Precast DesignDesign cast-in-place concrete foundations, pedestals, abutments, walls, and related structural componentsDesign and review precast concrete elements and their connectionsPerform structural calculations for anchor systems, embedments, and base connectionsAnalyze steel-to-concrete interfaces and structural load pathsEnsure designs comply with applicable ACI, PCI, and structural codesEngineering Analysis & Technical OversightPerform structural analysis for permanent and temporary conditionsEvaluate crane loads and installation-related structural impactsDevelop and review reinforcement detailing and embed layoutsProvide stamped calculations where requiredMaintain engineering documentation and calculation packages for project recordsConstruction IntegrationParticipate in drawing reviews with construction leadershipIdentify constructability risks early in the design processSupport field teams with technical solutions during installationConduct site visits as required to evaluate structural conditionsContinuous ImprovementEvaluate recurring field challenges and recommend improved standard detailsAssist in developing internal engineering standards and best practicesSupport initiatives to strengthen structural engineering processes within the divisionQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering5+ years of experience in structural concrete designExperience with cast-in-place and precast concrete systemsStrong understanding of anchor systems and embed designProficiency with structural analysis softwareWorking knowledge of ACI and PCI standardsPreferredProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience in bridge or heavy civil constructionField experience supporting construction or installation operationsCore CompetenciesStrong structural design capabilityPractical understanding of construction methods and installation sequencingDetail-oriented and code-drivenCollaborative and solution-focusedComfortable working in a structured, performance-driven construction environmentInterest in mentorship and departmental leadership developmentApply TodayIf you are a structural engineer who enjoys solving complex construction challenges, working closely with field teams, and contributing to innovative infrastructure projects, we encourage you to apply.Join Bridge Brothers and help build custom bridges that connect communities for generations.
