Walters Wedding EstatesThe chief job of a Sous Chef at Walters is to support the Executive Chef and to act as the Executive Chef in their absence. We are actively seeking experienced candidates with a strong work ethic. This person can adapt and learn quickly. Sous Chefs should be a resident expert in kitchen operations. Sous Chefs communicate clearly and provide necessary direction to a team. Our chefs take pride in their work but can handle criticism.What You’ll Do: Gets the right food to the right place at the right timeCompletes food preparation and cooks according to recipesPlates and presents food to meet standardsTransports food and equipment to venues for eventsOversees the kitchen food service during eventsMaintains proper sanitation and cleanliness at all timesQualifications:Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferredRequired Experience: 1-2 years of successful culinary experienceCertifications: Serve Safe Food HandlersPhysical Requirements: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hoursDo you love serving and interacting with people?
