Developer III
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Developer III for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications in a collaborative and fast-paced technical environment. This role involves contributing to full lifecycle software development efforts, supporting modernization initiatives, and delivering scalable technical solutions aligned with business objectives.Required Qualifications for the Developer III:Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experienceMinimum of 4 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, application testing, or related technical disciplinesStrong understanding of software development methodologies, system integration, and quality assurance practicesExperience working within enterprise technology environments, including distributed or legacy systemsProficiency in troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem resolutionStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teamsExperience managing multiple priorities and meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills with high attention to detail and qualityAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teamsPreferred Skills/Experience of the Developer III: Experience with Java development using modern JDK versionsFamiliarity with JSON, XML, and RESTful web servicesExperience with front-end and back-end web technologiesKnowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologiesExperience with Quarkus, containerized applications, or cloud-native developmentExposure to Agile software development methodologiesExperience supporting enterprise-scale or customer-facing applicationsExperience with application upgrades, deployments, and modernization initiativesResponsibilities of the Developer III: Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain enterprise applications and system integrationsAnalyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable application solutionsPrepare technical specifications, workflows, and supporting system documentationSupport application deployments, upgrades, and production issue resolutionCollaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders across multiple concurrent projectsEvaluate system enhancements, troubleshoot application issues, and recommend technical improvementsWork Location: Hybrid work schedule preferred with onsite collaboration several days per week in Columbia, SC.Compensation / Benefits:Full-Time Employment with SYSTEMTEC means competitive compensation, access to health, dental, disability, and life coverage, and 401(k) with match.***Please note: SYSTEMTEC is not set up to employ workers in the states of California, New York, and New Jersey .***
