Cybersecurity EngineerLocation: UK / Europe / US – RemoteI'm working with a highly successful, technology-driven financial trading firm.They're now looking to make their first dedicated Security hire in Europe or the US, making this an opportunity for someone who wants genuine ownership and the chance to help build the region but have an established team behind them in a different location.***Please only apply if your currently working within either a large enterprise cryptocurrency, trading firm or hedge fund.***What you'll be doingYou'll be hands-on across a broad range of security engineering and operations, including:Improving security across cloud, endpoint, identity and collaboration environmentsManaging, tuning and improving existing security controlsInvestigating and responding to security alerts and incidentsIdentifying weaknesses and implementing improvementsSupporting the introduction of new security technologiesWorking closely with IT and engineering teamsHelping develop security processes, standards and best practicesAssessing emerging security technologies and deciding where they can add valueContributing to the wider security strategy as the organisation continues to scaleWhy this role?The biggest attraction is ownership.You'll be the first dedicated Security hire in Europe or the US, giving you the opportunity to have a genuine impact on how security develops across the business.You're joining a financial trading environment where technology is central to the business, meaning security isn't simply a support function.
