QUALITY SYSTEMS MANAGERPosition SummaryThe Quality Systems Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, customer requirements, and applicable military specifications. This role serves as a key cross-functional leader, working collaboratively with stakeholders across two business units to align, standardize, and continuously improve processes that drive product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the alignment, integration, and standardization of quality processes across two business units to ensure consistency and efficiencyEnsure quality systems are aligned with ISO standards, customer, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate will all business functions to develop and define processes across the organizationIdentify deviations from quality standards (ISO, MilSpec, customer) and implement corrective actionsLead initiatives to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance QMS effectivenessFacilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder meetings to drive process harmonization and best practice sharingOversee internal audit programs, ensuring audit readiness and compliance across both business unitsAct as the primary point of contact for external audits, including customer and regulatory/military auditsMonitor quality system performance using data and metrics; identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiativesProvide training and guidance to employees on QMS requirements, procedures, and quality standardsSupport risk management activities, including process risk assessments and mitigation planningCANDIDATE PROFILEKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThorough understanding of ISO 9001:2015, with demonstrated history of audit successFamiliarity with military specifications (e.g., MIL-STD, AS9100, or similar) and customer-specific requirementsStrong organizational, documentation, and technology skillsProven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence stakeholdersExcellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skillsExperience with auditing (internal and external) and regulatory complianceAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys)Education & ExperienceExperience as a quality manager in a manufacturing / industrial setting, with a minimum of 5 years leading a teamExperience in quality excellence, ISO Audit & certification, and MIL-I-45208 knowledgeBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experienceASQ (or equivalent) certification heavily preferredCompany BackgroundCIRCOR International is one of the world’s leading providers of mission critical flow control products and services for the Industrial and Aerospace & Defense markets.
