Clinical Co-Responder (Evening Shift)

MHA promotes mental health and total wellness for individuals facing challenges associated with mental illness and addiction recovery. We increase community awareness while enhancing mental well-being through advocacy, education, prevention, treatment, and services.MHA is seeking a full time clinical co-responder to join our Morris County Clinical Co-Response Team! (LPC/LCSW Preferred, LAC or LSW will be considered with at least 1-2 years of experience).Must have a valid NJ driver’s license and a good driving record.Knowledge of Morris County resources is helpful.Ability to provide effective crisis response and de-escalation as related to community mental health/justice involved individuals in the community.Able to collaborate effectively with responding officers to provide support and resources to individuals within Morris County.ResponsibilitiesProvides co-responding efforts to identify mental health and crisis response incidents in the community, in collaboration with the Police Departments within Morris County.Co-RespondingResponding to calls in conjunction with Police Departments for cases in which a mental health concern is indicated, including but not limited to: mental health crisis, quality of life calls, wellness checks, and connection/linkage to community services.Ongoing collaboration with Police Departments within Morris County around appropriate training and education to support a shift towards better understanding of the social services lens and best practice regarding de-escalation approaches on calls.Developing systems for on-going follow up for community members in need of connections to social services that can enhance prevention of non-emergency calls and increase early intervention treatment access.Direct follow up with identified clients and collateral contacts as needed in order to facilitate access to appropriate services based on immediate client needs.Record keeping, reports, and documentation in accordance with program requirements.Being on-call and available to the Police Departments in Morris County during scheduled work hours via cell phone.Meeting AttendanceAttending regularly scheduled meetings: supervision, agency meetings, and training(s) as assigned.Record Keeping & ReportingRecord keeping as required by funding sources through the electronic clinical record software, and/or accreditation agencies as required.Other duties as assigned by Program Director.REPORTS TOProgram Director, Collaborative Justice ServicesLocationMorris County, NJAnnual Base Salary : 75K#HFully paid medical coverage for eligible staff.Generous 401(k) match.Plentiful Paid Holidays, Vacation, Personal and Sick time.MHAEM is a proud equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to attracting, retaining, and maximizing the performance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
