Make a difference doing work you can be proud of, challenged, and part of a team that shares a passion of helping to protect our nation.As a Principal Process Chemical Engineer, you will:Develop new and redline existing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Interlock NarrativesLead chemical engineering efforts on assigned modernization capital projectsBe an active team member on a cross functional project teamSupport Process Hazard Analyses for new processesTroubleshoot process, instrumentation and equipment problems to support project startupDevelop Process Flow Diagrams and Heat and Material BalancesLead various calculations for process design (i.e. relief, pump sizing, and heat transfer)Develop cost estimates and scope of work for capital projects.Provide field support for I/O, interlock checkout, & startup commissioning activitiesWrite, maintain, and update necessary procedures and assist with training operators when neededMentor junior Process Chemical EngineersThis role requires regular presence in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. The incumbent must be able to access and safely navigate production areas which may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces. Must also be able to comply with all requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy. Required Skills and EducationBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from ABET Accredited University Program6+ years relevant experience.
