This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU.In addition to design work, the selected candidate may be asked to help lead a team of student workers and interns, in the continued creation of digital design for all 17 of ACU's NCAA programs. In this role, the graphic designer will be asked to develop creative workflows, manage a queue of requested work, conceptualize individual work, as well as act as a leader and mentor to other designers (freelance and interns) to help them further develop their skills. This position reports directly to the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications.Qualifications:Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in creative atmosphere with focus on graphic designKnowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesignExperience in team environment working cohesively with deadline focus Experience working for (or in conjunction with) a Division I (FBS or FCS) institution or professional teamAbility to work at home athletic events.Experience in graphic design.Excellent communication skills as it pertains to internal and external stakeholdersAbility to create high quality, professional level content for all internal and external platformsAbility to fulfill graphic asset requests in team settingAbility to complete requests, at a professional standard, prior to deadline, to prioritize and manage the content request queueResponsibilities:* Lead all idea generation, creation, and management of Abilene Christian University brand assets through graphic design specifically for sales, marketing, athletics development, licensing, in-arena experience and social media platforms* Work quickly under high pressure in an extremely fast paced environment, while taking direction from the creative lead, collaborating with the rest of the External team and multi-tasking projects* Shape visual look and set graphic plan for department while sticking with established brand guidelines* Work cohesively with existing creative, technical and social media staffs through all brand categories* Works independently to achieve brand awareness throughout multiple media channels and platforms* Works with marketing and sponsorship staff to manage Athletics brand and create revenue projects* Research and generate preliminary design, finalize and update print collateral – including, but not limited to invitations, brochures, one-page flyers, posters, program books flyers, folders, program booklets and agendas, small/medium/large scale publications, development and fundraising materials, signage, wall art, advertisements, infographics, marketing materials, and videos* Provide graphic design support within the Athletics department for creating print and digital collateral and signage that consistently exemplifies the University and Athletics branding while meeting deadlines* Conceptualize, direct and create game day production graphics for various video boards and LED scorers tables* Manage relationships with internal partners and external and University vendors* Other duties as assignedACU does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, disability, genetic information, national or ethnic origin in employment opportunities, in keeping with applicable state and federal law.ACU is committed to maintaining a safe and secure campus environment and protecting the university's financial and physical assets.
