Headquartered in East Aurora, NY, Moog employs 14,000 employees in more than 20 countries.Position SummaryAs a Processing Performance Leader (Production Supervisor), you will oversee the Processing Department—Heat Treat, Plating, Shot Peen, and Paint—on the first shift. You will have daily operational responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost, and will oversee a team of 18–20 processing technicians. You will coordinate with support groups such as planning, maintenance, and machine shop.QualificationsBachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, or Associate's Degree with 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing production environment.Supervisory or team-lead experience; if not, engineering experience supporting manufacturing such as Manufacturing Engineer, Materials and Processing Engineer, or Quality Engineer.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Preferred ExperienceAerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industry experience.Experience working with Heat Treat, Plating, Shot Peen, and Paint, and with planning, maintenance, and machine-shop environments.Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA requirements.Ability to read blueprints.Experience with EHS best practices in manufacturing.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee a production shift team, including hiring, training, performance management, and talent development.Implement and measure short- and long-term team goals aligned with organizational strategy; motivate and lead team members; coordinate with support groups to achieve area goals.Identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, and productivity; recommend and implement actions to achieve high-impact results.Collaborate on capital projects, process improvements, and new product introductions with departments such as EHS, Quality, Materials & Processing, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and contractors.Investigate safety incidents, non-conforming products, and corrective-action requests, and report findings to leadership.Run reports and queries to extract manufacturing data; analyze performance metrics to identify trends and drivers.Manage personnel and equipment to optimize productivity at minimal cost while meeting schedules and delivery commitments.Conduct employee counseling, discipline, and performance feedback; create team and individual goals.Maintain accurate employee time reporting and manage vacation/time-off to support company needs.Provide technical assistance, instruction, and training; ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions to reduce injuries and lost time.Benefits & CompensationCompetitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, plus bonus opportunities and an employee stock-purchase plan.Matching 401(k) contributions; Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts.Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and Employee Assistance Plan.Paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and relocation assistance.Tuition assistance, mentorship, coaching, and leadership development programs.Work-life balance with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.SalaryTorrance, CA: $90,000–$120,000 per year.Equal Opportunity EmployerMoog is an Equal Opportunity Employer and affirms the right of every person to participate in all aspects of employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, citizenship, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic.
