Consistently recognized as a firm that stands up for its values with its commitment to justice and community service, Jenner has been named the No. 1 pro bono firm 13 times in the United States by The American Lawyer.POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Client Arrangements Manager, you will join a collaborative and dedicated team of finance professionals in an important firmwide initiative to drive the administration of the revenue cycle to best practice processes. This role is responsible for supporting the Billing and Pricing teams by reviewing and implementing our client fee arrangements. This position requires billing and e-billing expertise. This is an exempt position and located in our Chicago office. The standard work hours are 8:45-5:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with additional hours as needed. In-office coverage and collaboration is required, at least four days a week.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure successful implementation of client agreements, client guidelines, and finance SOPs.Communicate client fee arrangements and billing requirements to appropriate firm personnel.Understand and completely support situations requiring prompt and careful support, which may extend beyond normal business hours.Fully own client budgeting and accrual submission processes, including internal communications and audits.Perform billing and e-billing set-ups, including monthly timekeeper maintenance.Drive process improvement and transformation efforts within the Finance function.Conduct frequent audits of billing and client arrangement details to ensure accuracy.Ensure written documentation of all client processes associated with managing client requirements compliance is up-to-date and organized in an audit-ready state.Respond to requests for information, clarification, and special analyses from Billing and Pricing.Assist with the maintenance of the pricing repositories and databases.Ensure quality and accuracy of work product.Contribute to the development of tools, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency.DESIRED SKILLSAND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience.High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.Experience with SharePoint, database management, and data presentation software(s).Prior law firm or financial services industry experience.Must be well organized with strong attention to detail and good business judgment, capable of handling sensitive information with appropriate discretion.Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating an ability to explain complex concepts to professionals of different backgrounds with confidence.Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility with respect to assigned tasks due to changing deadlines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Maintain positive, collaborative, and professional attitude within pricing team as well as with other departments and lawyers.DisclaimerAdditional DutiesThis job description is intended to provide a general overview of the primary duties and responsibilities for the position. The anticipated pay range for this role is $70,000 to $100,000 in Chicago. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
