This opportunity positions you as a central EMR Applications Manager overseeing operational optimization, training, and system support during a pivotal period of EMR system transformation. You will play a crucial role in bridging technology, compliance, and care delivery across a multi-state organization, helping advance the delivery of high-quality, compliant healthcare services.Responsibilities:Provide daily oversight and quality assurance for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and its vendors.Manage compliance with EMR policies, processes, and system controls, including handling the EMR ticketing system.Serve as an internal liaison, ensuring responsive communication with internal customers regarding EMR-related questions, issues, and system updates.Assist in the creation and delivery of educational materials and training resources for end users, including webinars, manuals, and guides.Complete HCHB (Homecare Homebase) and other EMR vendor support tickets and provide afterhours support on a scheduled rotation basis.Participate in developing and executing strategic plans for the support and education of all employees in relation to the EMR.Support operational alignment of the EMR system with business priorities by working closely with agency, departmental, and home office leadership.Ensure all activities comply with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and private insurance regulations, as well as state and federal laws.Must-Have Skills:2-3 years’ experience with Homecare Homebase Hospice EMR or familiarity with other major EMR systems (e.g. FireNote).Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years’ related experience training, managing, or supporting a major EMR module.Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (potentially more during special projects or transitions).Strong experience in planning, organizing, and supporting EMR systems within a multi-site or multi-state organization.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to train users on EMR system workflows and processes.Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and related regulatory compliance requirements.Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse professional audiences.Nice-to-Have Skills:Working knowledge of hospice and palliative procedures, operational standards, and regulations.Experience supporting EMR transitions or system implementations in a healthcare or hospice setting.Ability to create and maintain a variety of training materials (manuals, tip sheets, webinars, etc.).Previous experience working with IT support ticketing systems.Participation in on-call support rotations.
