Compensation and Benefits:
· Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000 + 7.5% shift differential annually

Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance team on their shifts to ensure all equipment and machinery are maintained in safe, reliable, and optimal operating condition. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance, assigning and managing work orders, and minimizing equipment downtime while ensuring compliance with safety, food safety, and quality requirements. The Maintenance Supervisor provides technical leadership, supports in-depth troubleshooting, and drives maintenance best practices to support efficient and reliable plant operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Follow, enforce, and model all safety policies and protocols; proactively identify, communicate, and correct potential safety hazards.
· Lead and uphold the highest standards of food safety and product quality by enforcing allergen controls, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and company food safety programs; promptly escalate and address food safety or quality concerns.
· Oversee and direct daily maintenance operations to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and in alignment with production and business priorities.
· Plan, coordinate, and schedule routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
· Supervise maintenance personnel, including work order assignment through CMMS, scheduling, training, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability for results.
· Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians on equipment, systems, troubleshooting methods, and standard operating procedures; ensure competency through structured onboarding and cross-training programs.
· Identify equipment repair, replacement, and upgrade needs and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and asset reliability.
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history; hold the maintenance team accountable for documentation accuracy and compliance.
· Assist in establishing, tracking, and reporting maintenance KPIs (e.g., PM compliance, downtime, reliability metrics) to support operational excellence.
· Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to align maintenance strategies with overall plant objectives.
· Oversee installation, alignment, calibration, and validation of production and facility equipment.
· Lead equipment testing, trials, and validation activities to confirm effectiveness of repairs, upgrades, and process improvements.
· Coordinate and oversee external contractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
· Lead the Safety and Food Safety programs within the maintenance team, reinforcing a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
· Perform other duties as required to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Marginal Duties Performed Less Frequently:
· Design, develop, and update Maintenance SOPs
· Purchase small ticket items as needed to keep maintenance running smoothly.
· Collaborate with vendors and engineers to implement upgrades and modifications.
· Must work weekends occasionally, as needed.
Supervisory Responsibility:
· This position will have direct supervision responsibilities for the maintenance technicians assigned to their shifts.
· The backup for the Maintenance Supervisor will be the Production Manager. Qualifications /
Education / Experience Desired:
· High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate Degree, degree from a vocational school, or technical certification in a related field is preferred.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
· Proven management or leadership experience
· Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
· Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance methodologies
· Experience with equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning.
· Ability to analyze data, interpret technical manuals, and develop maintenance procedures.
· Must be able to read electrical drawings and mechanical blueprints
· Competency with computers and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
· Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organizational ability.
· Knowledge of occupational safety and health practices and regulations.
· Knowledge of quality assurance, environmental health, and safety standards is essential.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and/or holidays
· Available to be on call to assist with issues that may occur during their scheduled time off
· PM program development (CMMS) a plus
· Must be familiar with a production environment under FDA, SQF and HACCP guidelines
Language / Mathematical / Reasoning Ability:
· Must be able to write and speak, both clearly and effectively.
· Ability to read, write, and understand documents in English, such as technical manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, and general instructions
· Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
· Strong math skills required
Supervision Given:
· This position will report to the Production Manager
· The position holder is expected to be able to work with minimal oversight at times, able to confidently handle situations on their own

· Must be able to exert a push/pull force of up to 50 pounds (Occasionally)
· Required to walk and climb steps (Occasionally)
· Must balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch (Occasionally)
· Must be able to operate in congested areas (Occasionally)
· Must be able to operate maintenance tools and equipment
· Must be able to work from a scissor/articulating lift at heights up to and including 30 feet
Work Environment:
· Environment temperature varies between hot and cold conditions
· Noise level is moderate; hearing conservation program not required, but provided upon request
· Employees work on or near heavy machinery and rapidly moving equipment
Work Location: This position is required to work onsite in our Loveland, CO facility
Travel Required: Very Limited – May be asked to go off-site for equipment training, safety/food safety training and other short duration items. No overnight travel expected but may be required in rare circumstances.
