Home Services Sales Partner (Base + Commission, Co‑Founder Path)
Location: Central New Jersey (hybrid/field-based)About Ventura LabVentura Lab helps HVAC, plumbing, and other home services companies get more leads and revenue using technology, websites, SEO, and ads. We’ve recently driven strong results for an HVAC & plumbing company in Jersey City and now want to scale this model to more trades.About the roleI’m looking for a full‑time sales partner to work directly with me (the founder) to open doors with local home‑services businesses and help us discover where our product is the best fit. This is a builder role, not a corporate job. You’ll spend most of your time talking to owners, understanding their pain points, and setting up opportunities for us to help them with leads and on‑the‑job support through our app and services.What you’ll doTalk to at least 50 home‑services businesses per month (owners/decision makers).Prospect and build relationships with companies in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, cleaning, landscaping, and similar trades.Book and run discovery conversations alongside me to deeply understand their business, challenges, and goals.Help refine our offer, pricing, and messaging based on the conversations you’re having.Follow up with interested businesses and help close them onto our subscription plans.Track your outreach and results in a simple CRM or spreadsheet so we can see what’s working.What we’re looking forExperience working in or selling to home‑services businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, cleaning, landscaping, etc.).Existing relationships or the ability to quickly build trust with local owners.Comfortable doing outreach: in‑person visits, phone calls, texts, email, social.Entrepreneurial mindset: you like building something new more than just “working a job.”Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in how trades businesses run.CompensationBase salary: up to 35,000/year.Commission: per‑client bonuses and growing residuals on the accounts you bring in (details discussed in the interview).
