Role: DTX QA Automation EngineerLocation: USExperience: 7+Job DescriptionThe key function automation QA Engineers perform is creating and executing automation scripts for repeated tests. Using various automation tools, they design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. Their primary goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimal amount of code. This approach helps optimize the testing process, which would otherwise consume a significant percentage of test resources.To fulfill this role, Automation Engineers implement appropriate automation techniques to accurately meet the short and long-term goals of the testing organization.Skill Set RequiredQuality assurance expertise Minimum 7 years of hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing. Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development. Experience with API testing.Technical experience - Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (section below)Analytical skills Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.Attention to detail Being detail oriented is required as they test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.Interpersonal & Communication skills Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams.Tools KnowledgeAutomation tools - Playwright, Selenium Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS. Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github JIRA Defect tracking and task creation tool Confluence, Share Point Any Test Management tool CI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Reporting 20%Partner closely with QA Lead to implement overall Testing strategy including Automation strategy for the teamActively participate in planning and strategy meetings for key initiativesDevelop milestones, test plans and publish reportsIdentify automation opportunities and actively champion to increase automation coverage/shift leftExecution 80%Work with engineers and project leads to triage and prioritize issues for resolution especially for strategic initiativesAnalyze requirements, use cases, design docs etc. and provide inputs from a testing point of viewCreates, executes and maintains automation testsContribute to automation frameworkLog, review and triage defects for strategic initiativesAssist with Production issues/live site testing when neededExploratory testing, as neededQualifications And Certification7+ years Automation experience is requiredExperience in ecommerce applications is a mustWork experience with offshore/nearshore/onshore model a big plusExperience With Agile Methodology Is PreferredKey MeasurementThe success of the role will be measured by the delivery of projects to time and quality and the efficient communication, management and support.Job CircumstancesBe willing to work extended hours as required by the role and be available to occasionally implement systems out of business hours.
