Behavioral Aide

Gems Essential Family Services, LLC is currently seeking Behavior Aide subcontractors for Transportation and Supervision services (WRAP & Parent Aide). This position is open to individuals who live in various cities/counties in Georgia: Savannah area, Atlanta area, Henry/McDonough area, Bibb area, Dublin area, Augusta area, Waycross area, Rockdale area, and other surrounding counties. Subcontractor must be able to do the following: Work independently; Supervise family visits; Provide transportation services i.e. school; family visits, doctor appts. etc...; Conduct home visits if needed; Be able to provide overnight stays with youth; Have a flexible schedule; Be able to keep youth for prolong periods of time until placement is found; Be able to work with behavioral issues with youth in a professional manner; Available to be on-call; Keep accurate and current notes on each client; Process paperwork in a timely manner; Attend meetings as needed; Remain current with training; Have good writing skills 1. Transportations Services: Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. At least 1 year or more of human service/teaching/counseling experience, or B.S. degree with a background in Human Services. Maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License, with a minimum of 3-year driving history and current car insurance (minimum liability limits carried are $100,000 for bodily injury each person, $300,000 limit per occurrence, and $100,000 in property damage coverage). Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Local and statewide travel is required. Knowledge of and ability to use de-escalation skills when appropriate. Ability to maintain calm and organization in stressful situations. Very good interpersonal/communication skills Strong clinical, crisis management, de-escalation and critical thinking skills. Ability to work with respect for cultural diversity. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus. **Please Note: Day Care Work experience is acceptable if they have a Child Development Associate certificate (CDA). 2. Supervision/ Behavior Services: Qualifications: ·High School Diploma/GED & 1 or more years of human services/teaching/counseling experience, or B.S. Degree in a Human Services field (psychology, social work, behavioral sciences, child and family studies, community mental health, counseling, human services, etc.) **Please Note: Day Care Work experience is acceptable if they have a Child Development Associate certificate (CDA). Job Type: Contract Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Overnight shift Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
