Other duties may be assigned.Good communication skills & knowledge of basic shop mathAble to read, write and understand basic instructions in EnglishAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAble to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularlyAble to learn how to use measurement instrumentsAbility to follow directionAbility to complete first piece verificationMaintain a good attitude and be willing to learnCommunicates effectively with other team members and Production Team LeaderBe familiar with Human Performance tasksAble to perform entry level set-upsUnderstand the speeds and feeds pertaining to the machine they are operating (where applicable)Knowledge of all measuring instruments and gages for their operationAble to speak effectively before groups of co-workers, customers, auditors, etc.Able to read and interpret blue printsWorking knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principlesAble to comply to all SPC daily Requirements (if applicable)Able to understand and maintain machine complements (when applicable)LOTO certifiedAble to assist supervisor and lead person in the training of Machining Tech I-IIIAble to cross train in other areas as requiredAble to understand and meet department goals & metricsParticipate in ABS Kaizen events as requiredIndependently sets up, operates, and trouble shoots machinery for self/othersAble to operate all standard machines related to the process in their assigned processAble to assist supervisor and lead person in the training of Machining Tech I-VHave the ability to support other Howmet facilitiesAble to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skillsAbility to use and demonstrate expertise in area to make recommendations to management to improve design, material, productivity, and/or machiningdependently run and set-up hand feed T/R machines and 10/20 frameIndependently run and set up Waterbury/Hartford hand feed T/R machinesIndependently run and set up the 30 frame Reed T/R machineIndependently run and set-up automatic T/R machines 0/10/20/30 frameAble to run Menn and Saspi T/R machines , QualificationsQualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
