Technical Intern

Job descriptionJob Summary• Follows GLP and GMP policies and procedures• Helps maintain laboratory inventory to include but not limited to consumables, durable items, and reagents. • Provides routine care and maintenance of cell lines: host and indicator and client cell lines using techniques applicable to general cell culture (thawing cells, scale up of cell lines, cell bank production including internal and client, and seeds assays) • Follows safety processes and procedures Supports Facilities (to include water pans, trash, glassware, recyclables.• Prepares all media and buffers• Assists in performing virology techniques to include assays and virus production• Follows standard operating procedures to conduct assays, interpret data, and record experimental observations in workbooks, or approved facility forms• Enters data and verifies data entry• Helps prepare laboratories for clients which involves cleaning laboratories, prepping equipment, and stocking laboratory supplies Minimum requirements• Minimum of 18 years old• Willing and able to work in a BSL-2 facility, able to wear appropriate PPE• Must follow Texcell-North America safety policies and practices as well as regulatory procedures• Organized and motivated• Ability to work independently and with teams• Professional demeanor• Proficient in use of Microsoft software programsDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed.
