Interim Controller

This will be a 6-month+ project. Netsuite Implementation Experience and Carve-out or transaction experience required. Healthcare/Health-tech/SaaS experience preferred. Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to help stand up the finance and accounting function during this post-transaction transition period. This individual must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, Day 1+ environment with limited existing infrastructure and evolving processes.Scope of WorkThe Interim Controller will be responsible for supporting the finance function buildout and ensuring core accounting activities are executed effectively during the transition period.Key responsibilities include:Stand up the finance and accounting function for a newly carved-out entityCreate, maintain, and improve accounting reconciliationsIdentify gaps in accounting processes, controls, and policiesSupport month-end close activitiesPartner with the CFO to establish scalable accounting processesOperate independently in a dynamic, post-carve-out environmentSupport readiness for migration to a standalone NetSuite environmentRequired Skills & ExperienceCandidates must have the following experience:NetSuite experience required; NetSuite is the client’s core ERPCarve-out or transaction experience requiredExperience operating in a Day 1+ or newly separated business environmentStrong controllership and general accounting expertiseHands-on month-end close and reconciliations experienceAbility to identify process gaps and implement practical solutionsStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with senior finance leadershipAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfort operating in a fast-paced, stand-up environmentIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a hands-on Controller or senior accounting leader who has supported carve-outs, post-transaction integrations, or newly standalone entities. They should be comfortable building processes from scratch, working in NetSuite, and balancing both strategic finance function setup and tactical accounting execution.
