In 2022, Spectra Tech was awarded 'Small Business of the Year' for 2021 by the U.S. Department of EnergyPosition OverviewThe UPF Engineering Process Commissioning Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the validation and implementation of UPF safety basis and technical design requirements in preparation for operational readiness.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform technical adequacy reviews of:Safety basis documentsSafety basis support documentsReview drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure proper implementation of safety basis requirementsConduct validation and verification of technical design requirements within:DrawingsSpecificationsEngineering documentationVerify results of acceptance testing to ensure:Design criteria are metSafety basis requirements are adequately demonstratedLead facility and system operational readiness efforts, including:Preparation of readiness affirmation evidence packagesVerification of readiness documentationPreferred QualificationsExperience coordinating engineering efforts across multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated technical capability, leadership, and strong work ethicAbility to work effectively in a project team environmentStrong communication skills with:Internal teamsCustomersStakeholdersRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in:EngineeringPhysical Science (Chemistry, Physics, or related field)Minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceMust meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A, including:B.S. degree in engineering or related scientific field2 years of job-related experience1 year of nuclear experienceORDOE O 426.2A approved alternative qualificationAt Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time-personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
